Recount writing-At Whangarei Pools

WALT add detail to our writing.
24.07.18
On  a hot and sunny day I was so excited to go to the pools
in Whangarei. I was jumping up and down until we got there.
I was glad that we went to the pools.
When we got there I raced as fast as a racing car to have
my swim. I was the first one to jump in the wave pool.
The water was a bit warm. When the water splashed me
I giggled. I said to my dad, “This is the best holiday ever.”
We had a long swim. It was great.
Next Dad said, “Lunch time everyone.”
I replied, “But I don't want to get out of the water.”
Then my dad jumped in the pool and grabbed me.
He said “Pack this all away please Taonga.” Then I wasn't
allowed to jump back in the pool.
After that mum said, “Quickly jump in the pool before
your father gets back.” So I quickly jumped back in the pool.
When Dad came back he said it was OK for me to be in the pool but he said, “When I tell you all to jump out, you jump out the first time I tell you too.” I was so happy at the pools.
It was terrific.
